A calm refuge from Lamon Bay and the Pacific Ocean, this shallow, protected body of water at Cagbalete Island is surrounded by mangrove forest.
This estuary is the point where man, the sea---his immemorial ally and adversary--and the land meet and challenge each other. My friend, Sally, was caught by surprise by the rising tide while crossing this estuary.

Beautiful picturss, nice place.. i liked..
What a beautiful place! Is the water saltwater?
I was once surprised by a rising tide, Miranda, and it was very scary. Man’s relationship with the sea is, indeed, a contrast of the adversarial and blessed. Thanks for sharing this beautiful picture. :)
sight of water + lush green = serenity!
beautiful one Miranda
Love the way the trees are outlining the water and the reflections are gorgeous.
Your friend must have been quite scared! The pictures are very calm and serene.
So beautiful! Must have been scary for your friend, and unexpected. It looks so friendly and calm.
What a beautiful place! Nicely captured. Love the photos.
Hard to choose -your first pic is unusual, but I love the colors in your second pic!

I love the photos of the beach. Just lovely. Happy Outdoor Wednesday.
What a beautiful and serene picture, Miranda. In my 88 cruises all over the world, I've been blessed to sail many of the planets seas. They, and the countries they touch, have given me so many wonderful and cherished memories. I wish retirement, and the terrible drop in my income, permitted me the joy of travel now but I still dream about the friends and the places!!
Picture perfect!Soo love to see greens and beautiful scenery here to cherish^_^
