Mauban pier (Watery Wednesday)

a fisherman at the pier

An early morning scene at the Mauban pier on my way to Cagbalete Island on Maundy Thursday. A coastal town about 150 kilometers from Manila, Mauban is a gateway to Cagbalete Island---my Holy Week destination.

More photos of Cagbalete Island in my next posts.

Interesting photos. I think it would be refreshing to take a boat ride in one of those outriggers.

I love the way they've married an old design to modern materials in these boats. I especially like the one in foreground in the middle photo. Great shooting!

I was a little captivated by that first shot. That structure doesn't look like it could support that person. :-) Nices shots.

Did you stay long enough to see if the fisherman caught a fish? I hope he did because if his wife is like mine, she'll start to wonder if he really went fishing if the only thing he caught is a cold LOL

That's a colorful outrigger. Growing up in a coastal town, looking at your photos make me homesick. Nice weekend getaway.
