I did a little shopping at Bonifacio High Street on Saturday and was delighted at the Christmas installations. The stars in red and gold caught my attention---they're made from abaca rope and rattan poles, homegrown and simple yet they add a festive air to the al fresco shopping experience. With synchronized music and lighting, these Christmas installations dominate the garden area, an added interest to shoppers. Christmas is definitely in the air albeit the warm breezes.
This mall is popular to people with dogs and kids---there's a stretch of garden in the middle with water features and contemporary art installations where dogs [and their humans] can socialize and compare notes. There are restaurants and coffee shops, fashion specialty stores and global brands, sports and electronic stores, hobby and lifestyle shops, a book and music store, a spa, health and beauty shops. A shopping playground where nothing feels cramped or hurried. And anyone can find his/her quiet spot.
Exercise buffs also found a haven here. And these stars would visually entertain the joggers while they huff and puff on the sidewalks.

Luna, I love the decor. But I was more interested in how "little" a shopping you did or how you didn't show the many shopping bags you were carrying on your way out of the place :)
we got to visit boni high last july...after getting lost in eastwood that is :D andami ng nabago at hindi na kami sanay magpaikot ikot...ayun hindi kami umabot sa kasalan hahaha. (Pauwi naligaw sa QC naligaw din kami...lol.)
it wasn't much, Maria. couldn't afford most of the merchandise at High Street. but it was a stress-free shopping, no long lines.:p

Your string stars, did you when you were young, use a string and twine it over your fingers to make a string star? We used to do that.

Colorful, beautiful, happy photos!
It also attracts my attention...
These colorful stars sitting on the grass at High Street bring such a pretty sparkle to the season. Thanks for sharing this unique Christmas decoration from your world. :)
The past few years, I found myself shopping there, yes because of the lines in other shopping malls. That and the lovely atmosphere. I doubt it though if I'll repeat that experience this year. The Eastwood mall is just a hop away. :-) But I do love the decors of High Street!!!
What an enjoyable place! Although I don't have a dog, I am sure I can spend time by shooting stars! Thanks for sharing.
These stars are very impressive! The artist did a good job - they fit the place perfectly.
You're right, Simple but festive.
Fabulous abaca stars!
Pretty!! Are these up year round or just during the Christmas season?
