LP: Pagbabago [change]

at the shores of Cagbalete Island

Did you notice the changes in your environment? The places that never experienced flooding in the past are now under water after a moderate downpour. The wide shores of our childhood are almost gone due to soil erosion brought about by rapid rise of sea level and mismanagement and abuse of coastal resources. Like these trees at the shores of Cagbalete Island, the roots could barely hold on to the soil---and a few years from now, these trees would be gone, too. If the sea levels continue to rise, and we don't do the right thing to save this planet, then we would be like these trees, holding on but slowly losing our grip. I don't know if we'd survive the next great flood.

Hopefully this boy would grow up to be an earth warrior rather than becoming an illegal logger. Each time we abuse our environment, be reminded that "we do not inherit this planet from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children".

Nature has such a beautiful way of presenting itself sometime. Very interesting. I do hope that we are able to implement the changes required for mother planet to sustain. We definately need cleaner air and to become less dependant of oil. Here on our Gulf Coast we are personally experiencing the tragedy of the persuit of more oil. We have oil on our white pristine beaches as of last night.

Very nice shots. I really like those gnarled tree branches and the photo with the young boy, just beautiful.

I agree that we are borrowing the earth from our children. I wish more people were as wise as you are!

Let this serve as a warning "God will destroy those who are destroying the earth" (Revelation 11:18)

Happy LP!

Hay oo nga... isa ang Climate Change sa pagbabagong kaya nating pigilan at dapat nating aksyunan.
