Pagkatapos n'on, pahinga at tulog uli. Sarap buhay 'no?
This lion was sleeping soundly when we visited his cage in Zoobic. He was lying on his back with no cares in the world. I thought he was having a power nap after a stressful morning, but no---I later learned that lions are generally lazy. They spend much of their time resting and are inactive for about 20 hours a day. Although lions can be active at any time, their activity generally peaks after dusk with a period of socializing, grooming, and defecating. Intermittent bursts of activity follow through the night hours until dawn, when hunting most often takes place. They spend an average of two hours a day walking and 50 minutes eating. After stretching their legs, they rest and sleep again---what a life!
