Food Friday: something light

After the carbohydrate and fat-rich foods we consumed on New Year's eve, I opted for this light fare of steamed fish fillet in soy sauce garnished with steamed broccoli, slices of black mushrooms, carrots and spring onions. Try this at Zong, a hip Chinese bistro at The Fort Strip, Global City.

You gave me a good idea to go for leaner fares this year. Can I stick to it? The big test is when we go on a cruise middle of this month. If I can do it without jumping overboard out of frustration, I'll make it through the year LOL.

I love steamed fish in soy sauce. But I always like it with rice though....

there are meat substitutes, bertn. i'm a meat-eater, too, so i understand your apprehension. every time i'm about to binge on red meat or pork, i tell myself---mahal ang meds! that reminder works 80% of the time.:D

have fun on your cruise!
