Litratong Pinoy: mahalagang regalo [treasured gift]

Tumpak ang sinabi ni Jacques Delille na, "Chance makes our parents, but choice makes our friends."

Friends are life's treasured gifts and I am rich with good friends. We didn't choose our family so to make up for that oversight, God rewarded us with the freedom to choose our friends. Jacques Delille was right when he said, "Chance makes our parents, but choice makes our friends." And it’s just perfect…because we need people in our lives who believe in us at a time when we stopped believing in ourselves. Life will be unbearable without friends to laugh and cry with, to get drunk with and to celebrate our successes with.

happy LP :-)

may nagsabi rin sa akin "become a friend first, before you ask for their friendship." parang ganun...yata yung saying. there goes my memory cell again...it doesn't keep on going and going (hehe) like the duracell rabbit.

Lalo na yung mga "sticking through ups and downs" :)

Oh so true. We choose our friends, we are stuck with our families, as they say.

BTW, on the second pic, the girl on the right in pink shirt/jacket looks oh so very familiar to me. I may have met her before somewhere probably in university. I cant recall her name but she looks very very familiar.

I share your sentiments about friendship. I think they are precious gifts indeed.

BTW, on the second pic, the lady on the right with pink shirt-jacket looks very very familiar to me. I can't put a name to the face but I have a feeling that I have met her before.

I used to have a lot of friends in college and as a young professional but now in my older years, I do not have as many and the number keeps going down as they years go by. It is sad but that is the reality of life. Death comes with birth;the dying process starts when one is born. Una-una lang.

totoo yan, bertn. age makes us more discriminating. we keep fewer friends as we grow older, friends that we truly value. friendships that we developed when we were young were part of our self-discovery process, and friendships we nurture as we mature are the lasting ones.
