After sunset/Sky-Watch Friday

I was meeting friends for dinner on Sunday and I tried to get to the bay walk earlier to catch the sunset.  Unfortunately, I made a wrong turn somewhere and got here a few minutes after sunset.   How did it get so late so soon?

Carnival rides/BM & MYM

Carnival rides at the baywalk offer thrills to children while their moms are shopping at the mall across the street.  I walked by on a Thursday---these rides are usually full on weekends.

Splashes/Water World-Wednesday

Splashing waves @ Baywalk, Manila Bay

It's been stormy and all of Metro Manila and nearby provinces are in a standstill due to incessant rains that caused  massive flooding.  Strong waves from Manila Bay  spawned by typhoon "Gener" (international name:  Saola) pounded the seawall and flooded Roxas Boulevard with saltwater. These were taken a week before "Gener" arrived.

Don't you realize that the sea is the home of water?  All water is off on a journey unless it's in the sea, and it's homesick, and bound to make its way home someday. ~ Zora Neale Hurston
