Splashes/Water World-Wednesday

Splashing waves @ Baywalk, Manila Bay

It's been stormy and all of Metro Manila and nearby provinces are in a standstill due to incessant rains that caused  massive flooding.  Strong waves from Manila Bay  spawned by typhoon "Gener" (international name:  Saola) pounded the seawall and flooded Roxas Boulevard with saltwater. These were taken a week before "Gener" arrived.

Don't you realize that the sea is the home of water?  All water is off on a journey unless it's in the sea, and it's homesick, and bound to make its way home someday. ~ Zora Neale Hurston

Great shots of the waves! Love that second one, with the pink hue on the water!

Hope you can stop by my blog sometime, and if you have not already done so, "Like" Hood Photography on Facebook! Thanks!

Told a Boholano friend yesterday how I feel sort of guilty for not feeling the distress of the Manilenos these days on account of heavy rains and flooding. You see, Bohol weather has been gorgeous -- sunny and breezy. However, it's noticeable the minimal number of tourists perhaps, due to cancelled ferry boats and planes from the other major islands.

Hope all's all right with you and family, Luna.
