Stormy [Watery & Outdoor Wednesday]

@ mirandablue
The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the storm terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for remaining ashore. - Vincent Van Gogh

We weathered another strong typhoon yesterday.  Packing winds of 260 kilometers per hour, super-typhoon "Juan" (international code name:  Megi) hit northern and central Luzon provinces on Monday destroying homes, crops and infrastructures.  The storm is now on its way out but rains continue to pour.  Traffic was monstrous on my way home this evening.  "Juan" is the 10th and the strongest storm to hit the country this year.

These photos were taken in late August along the rough shores of Santa, Ilocos Sur.

I was just telling my husband that this super typhoon is coming in late in the year, when normally there isn't any rain at all around this time.

Hope everyone's safe.

Such a wonderful beach and view out to the ocean! Lovely, but dangerous, these days, I've heard.... I hope the typhoon is passing away, and that you all are fine at your place! Take care! :)

I was watching the typhoon on the weather channel....nasty to say the least.

My watery photos are now posted if you'd care to view when time allows.

Luna, ang laki pala ng mga rocks, the man in the outrigger is so small!

Its so gloomy and raining here too. I read and see stories of typhoon Juan.

P.S. No camping in Yellowstone Lake, it has soft surface and lots of geothermal activity. Camping is allowed on designated places.
