Malambot [Soft]

@ mirandablue

I am not fond of stuffed toys but last Christmas, I went to a toy store to buy lots of stuffed animals for my god-children and friends [who are perpetually young-at-heart].  These soft toys are in their wish list and they were excited to receive their gifts.  Admittedly, stuffed toys are cute but I shudder at the thought of dust mites they would accumulate at home.  But then again, there's one funny Filipino idiosyncrasy of wrapping stuffed toys in clear plastic and display them at home, or having a menagerie of stuffed animals at the back of the car.

For Thursday Two Questions - you are invited to answer and join:

1)  What are your funny or peculiar idiosyncrasies?
2)  Do you mind other people's [friend, co-worker, neighbor] odd behavior or habit?

The little bear tree is so dear. I still have my doll and teddy bear and I am 71 so you know that I am a child at heart. Now to your 2 questions:
1. A structural or behavioral characteristic peculiar to an individual or group. ...I would say I have 2....rubbing the sheet between my big toe and the second toe, and the other one sucking on my lip. Even my middle son does the same thing :-)
2. At my age my mantra is to let people do whatever weird things they like if they make them happy. In the days I have left here on this earth, I am not going to pass judgement on any of them.

The snow came and it is REALLY pouring down. It is gorgeous and cannot wait to post photos. Being a Floridian from birth, snow for me is like mana from Heaven.

I still have my teddy bear and dolls so you know I am still a child at heart at 71. That tree with all the teddies on it is precious. I can just see a chid getting so excited seeing it. Love the post. Now to your two questions:
1.idiosyncrasies - 1. A structural or behavioral characteristic peculiar to an individual or group. ...
Well, I have two: one is rubbing the sheet between the big toe and second toe on my right foot to get to sleep and the other is sucking on my lower lip. Pretty silly wouldn’t you say?!?!!? And to make it even sillier, my youngest child at 40 still sucks his lower lip, my middle son chews on the side of his tongue, and my eldest child wraps stands of her hair around her finger. Guess we are an idiosyncratic family.
2. I do not care what someone else does as long as it makes him or he happy. For what years I have left on this earth, I an mot going to pass judgement on any habits of anyone. I just want everyone to he happy and kind to one another.

1) I am sure I have a few to tell. But a couple to start are people not dishonest. Secondly, people who flake.
2) In general, I don't mind most people if I sense they are harmless, but their are certain individuals that are just annoying, and those types are hard to ignore.

Beautiful blog make over, Luna!

I don't mind odd people, but some just gets under my skin, like my X for example, that's because I had to deal with him all the time. Otherwise, I respect individualism!

My idiosyncrasies is cleaning my hands after being in public. Long before hand santizers became popular, I...we began using isopropyl alcohol for cleaning our hands after trips to the grocery store or just being in public. There are some serious bacterias that stay alive for a long time and can be harmful to your health. We continue to use rubbing alcohol to rid our hands of germs, as these nifty products are grossly over priced. We get some wierd looks, especially when going through check out not to mention questions. That's okay. It doesn't bother me.

Nope, I don't mind other people's wierd habits. If it makes them happy then that's all that matters. We all have odd behaviors. No need to point a finger at someone else because you'll be pointing four back at yoursellf, right?

Hook up with me today and read my Thursday Two Questions post!

i have a few quirks...like i get overly emotional about some old song, or the national anthem, or a TV ad. then at funerals or in some serious situations, i'd see something funny. i smile at strangers thinking that i knew them. i don't eat purple foods like purple [yam] ice cream and cake. i drive barefoot.

i generally don't mind other people's peculiarities--they're what make us individuals.

The teddy bear tree is so cute. I still have a weakness for little stuffed animals, there are three sitting on top of my desk right now.

I don't mind other people's odd habits. Those kind of things make us individuals.

1) I have to keep a plastic protector on my touch phone, or else..I'm worried!

2) I don't mind odd behavior, just as long as the person keeps it to himself/herself!

Beautiful blog background!

1. Shoes in the house. I CANNOT stand anyone coming into my home with their shoes. It really upsets me. Dh knows this. He tries but sometimes I want to sceetch.

The kids are learning.

The lady I babysit for, I had to tell her. I think she is aware now but I think she forgets! Please leave shoes at the door. I clean my floor. And I want to do movie night with a blanket on my carpet.

2. I don't mind other peoples odd behavior at all, but some can be quite funny and interesting.
