There's nothing much to see at my sky right now. It's just a blanket of grey. A typhoon went and another arrived---what can I say, we're a typhoon super-highway. So I'm sharing with you skies from a few months ago, in mid-February to be exact. Taken in Clark Field during the hot air balloon festival.
I felt like a kid as I watched the light planes glide across the morning sky. I stood, my eyes turned upward, as they soared to the clouds, weightless in flight.

When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return. ~Leonardo Da Vinci

I suddenly got sentimental about Phil skies. I miss the rainy season the most. I love when all the trees sway to the music of a tropical storm.
beautiful images
It's seem to look like dragonflies taking off.
My SWF
Beautiful captures Luna.
That last shot is terrific!
Looks like a lot of air traffic though - a little scary that many so close. :)
nice cloudy sky and I love the planes !
i agree, everything's grey and it's constantly raining.
we desperately need to clean our neighborhood, the flooding gets worse each time, i wish the gov't would do something about it....:(
beautiful captures luna!
hi, arabesque! the gov't has its hands full. garbage should be every person's responsibility. we should have learned our lessons from Ondoy. to drown in a river of garbage--imagine the epitaph!
Lovely sky, and the last photo is so suggestive of lightness and adventure.
The sun will come out eventually!!! What fun to be soaring through the air--something I'd like to try sometime. Hard to believe that quote was made by Leonardo DaVinci--he did draw up plans for a "helicopter" of sorts. A genius well ahead of his time! Have a nice weekend. Mickie :)
I did enjoy this post. Thanks.
All the best, Boonie
Nice photos! :)
What a fun sight to see all those plane in the air. Lovely shots.
oh my! totally gorgeous...these shots are fascinating...thanks for dropping by!
your post reminded me of one valentine's day that we spent in hot air balloon fiesta in clarkfield pampanga. it was a nice experience.
off topic: thanks for the kind words you left on my comment thread. somehow, we're comforted. thank you!
Great shots ... and thanks for visiting!
so many old planes. Great shots. :)
I'm sorry to hear you're in between typhoons. How great it is to have an archives to draw from. :)
next time, you fly?
We heard about your tyhoon.
My honey in Manila keeps me informed of the wet weather you're having, and I hope the worst of the typhoons will be done by the time I get home next week. Da Vinci was right, but I wonder how he knew that! Interesting sky post, Luna. I think I mentioned before the hot air balloon fest is one I've been wishing to see.
PS. And I SO agree with you that people need to get off their duffs and clean up their own neighborhoods. How difficult can it be to gather a clean-up group through the village associations?
Nice series of shots. Last time I was at Clarke, the Americans were still running it.
I really wanna see those planes by myself :)
Hope you have a nice weather now...
My late visit here
