Lucky are those who have good eyesight. Truth be told, I took for granted my 20/20 vision until the day the doctor told me I need to be fitted with prescription glasses. My vision defect is called hyperopia, also known as farsightedness---this causes difficulty focusing on near objects, a clearer vision on distant objects. It's a common problem that comes with aging but I was only 32, and my mom had better eyesight. For somebody who loves to read, reading glasses really improved my life---it reduced my headaches and squinting. And when I forget my glasses? I couldn't even read the menu, I had to ask the waiter to read it for me. And forget texting! If I don't text back, it means my reading glasses are somewhere else!:p

1. When was the last time you had your eyes checked?
- My last eye check-up was in November last year. I usually have my eyes checked a few weeks after my birthday. The doctor suggested progressive lenses but I'm not ready for it, psychologically.:p So he prescribed another pair of glasses for driving.
2. Do you think eyeglasses affect your looks, your lifestyle?
- Yes and yes. I think I look "older" with glasses...people started calling me "ma'am", it used to be "miss".:p A girlfriend gets excited while we're in a restaurant and I couldn't even see clearly what or who she's excited about! Imagine all those sexy, good-looking guys walking by and I missed them! My sister just told me that I look like an old woman when texting without my glasses on. Who would want to read at the beach wearing a pair of reading glasses? *LOL*

i like the second photo the most. ang ganda ng pagkafocus ng mga image sa salamin mo.
i had my eye check up last year December and yes it affects my lifestyle because i feel like i can't survive without my glasses. when i'm not wearing my glasses, i have to always do a second look or third look at everything...nakakainis.
Maraming salamat!
Maligayang Hwebes!
far sighted ka pala, ako naman myopic (near-sighted). may salamin din ako sa mata (d&g pa nga, hehe) pero iniwan ko sa pinas. malamang tumaas na din grado ng mata ko; your post reminds me for me to bring myself and my wife to optometrist for refraction.
Thank God for glasses talaga!

1. It's been so long I can't even remember :)
2. I think it does effect your looks. And, I think that's why so many people where contact lenses.
1. Just had my eyes checked and had new lenses put in the D&G frames that I love.
2. Actually, I love my eyeglasses. I get so many compliments on them. I looked long and hard for this particular frame after seeing it in a D & G ad in a magazine. I actually met with a company rep to try them on before purchasing them. I love them so much that I had new lenses put into them when my eye prescription changed.
1. I had my eyes checked in April of last year I think. I had to get new glasses. I went more than 10 years without checking them. I couldn't afford it.
2. Do you think eyeglasses affect your looks, your lifestyle?
Yes. My wearing glasses since a child with being teased and having low self esteem has stayed with me and it's a battle to accept that wearing glasses doesn't affect the person I am and should be.
Enjoy your weekend!
I get my eyes checked once a year. I do it to make sure there is nothing else I should be worry about.
Glasses makes someone look more studious. I don't wear mine, but might have to one day.
Thanks for linking up this week. Have a great weekend
My family needs to wear glasses, bad genes, I tell you, and we all have our eyes checked every year!
Glasses are such a bother to wear, but they do change the way we look..
Ganda ng unang shot, ibang perspective...liked it!
thanks for sharing...and pagdaan.. :)
