Viewed from the walls of historic Fort Santiago in Intramuros is Roxas Bridge, formerly called the Del Pan Bridge, one of the 13 bridges that crosses Pasig River. Pasig River stretches 25 kilometers connecting Laguna de Bay, a freshwater lake, to Manila Bay. Roxas Bridge is the last bridge near the mouth of the Pasig River that opens to Manila's Port Area.

that's a great fact! 13bridges. i didnt know that. it would be great if someone can actually feature the 13 in one post.
Interesting contrast between the modern bridge and the old looking sentry post in the foreground. The pink sky is a bonus.
You captured a great contrast here with the old fort lookout and the much more modern bridge in the distance. It must be interesting to walk around that area...so much to see!
Wow that's really a beautiful image. Love the sky..also your choice of music!
Oh what a beautiful picture. I love the composition. I love that you got the older structure along with the bridge and the water and the pretty sky. So much to see.
Old and new, with a beautiful sky too!
Beautiful shape and stonework on the fort.
You are lucky to have real bridges with real water under them.
I didn't know Del Pan Bridge is now Roxas Bridge and that there are thirteen bridges across Pasig River.
The slice of light above the bridge is beautiful ;-)
What a fine sky in this image. «Louis» thanks you for your contribution to Sunday Bridges!
That river must belong to have 13 bridges. A great name for a song---13 Bridges to Cross. I like the guard post watching out for the bridge. MB
Lovely sky over the bridge! What is the brick structure in the left side of the photo?
lovely evening sky over this bridge. and is that the top of another bridge, off in the distance?
VioletSky, those are cranes at the Manila North Harbor.
EG Wow, the brick structure is probably a watch-tower during the Spanish regime, looking out for incoming ships at Manila Bay. it's part of an old fortress, Fort Santiago.
This bridge is fantastic beautiful!I'm enchanted by the sky colours, magnificent picture!
Happy Sunday

If one day I'll go home, I'll surely visit Fort Santiago again.
Great post dear.
It is very nice contrast of new and old. Like it.
Pretty sunset cast onto the scene!
