Walk of life [lakad ng buhay] - Litratong Pinoy

Saturday afternoon in downtown Seattle, there were only a few people walking on the sidewalk.

This was the scene at the intersection of Colon and Juan Luna Streets in Cebu City one Saturday afternoon.

Ibang-iba 'no?

Walking is a good way to de-stress. And when I need solitude, I'd rather walk than brood. I always feel better and sleep better after walking, not to mention the improvement on my mental outlook. So get up, you couch potato!

Watery Wednesday: pond

A pond near the joggers' path where I run/walk on weekends.

"Every peasant is proud of the pond in his village because from it he measures the sea."

Sky-Watch Friday: sunset and twilight

One of the joys of being outside rather than vegetating on the couch is the sight of this lovely sunset. My Sunday afternoon routine of running/walking has been rewarding, not only because of the health benefits but because I love this time of day...sunset then twilight.

Photos were taken at the officers' club oval track last Sunday.

Twilight: A time of pause when nature changes her guard. All living things would fade and die from too much light or too much dark, if twilight were not.

~ Howard Thurman
