Red season [Ruby Tuesday]

Red was all over the place last weekend. Spotted this tree adorned with red lanterns and red packets (or "ang-pau") and an over-sized heart hanging over at the Eastwood Mall. The red packets are passed out during the CNY celebrations, containing cash in even numbers.

Crisp and warm red tortillas at Agave-Mexican Cantina, our appetizer on Sunday dinner. They won't let you forget it's Valentine's Day.:p

It's the same here in Singapore, almost all malls have the Chinese New Year decorations in them! Since red is consider an auspicious colour to the Chinese, there's plenty of red around!

A very nice tree for CNY. Your tortilla looks like rose petals. How creative and romantic! Mine entry this this time is hot red zone, hahaha!

Difficult to tell the difference between the Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day - both red and both involve gifts and they're on the same day. Lovely photos.

Hey Luna, I like your red lanterned tree. We need some of them here. Mrs. Jim calls them Japanese lanterns.
Happy RT! Thank you for your visit and nice comment. Some things I like at Wendy's, for hamburgers I go to MacDonald's.

Great pics. I'm hoping to get over to the Chinese Cultural Center here in Phoenix later this week and I'm hoping they will still have their CNY stuff up.
