The dirt road to Kapurpurawan rock formations in Ilocos Norte---a three-kilometer unpaved road that led us to the rugged coast of Burgos, and the amazing sight of the white rock formations.
We were on the road for about 4 hours from the city of Vigan, and we were ecstatic when we finally reached this bridge. A few minutes from our final destination---the white beaches of Pagudpud.

And here's one of Metro Manila's major roads, EDSA, on a Monday morning. This is approaching the tunnel at the intersection of EDSA and Ayala Avenue in Makati City.

I love roads like that.
ReplyDeleteNice contrasting roads! The third one reminds me of Malaysian roads and the first one of English countryside!
ReplyDeleteThe dirt road looks bumpy. After 4 hours on it, I would be shaking when I get off the vehicle. hahaha....
ReplyDeleteLots of different roads in these shots - some I'd not mind being on . . . others, not so much. *smile*
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.
what a difference between the first picture and the last one! It looks as if the bridge went between rural and urban.
ReplyDelete4 hours on that dirt road sure to make me have bum ache!! kekekekke
ReplyDeleteThe road in the third photo may be more used but the first photo has that third photo beat in terms of aesthetics. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm more familiar with the EDSA road :( love the rural take!
ReplyDeleteNice collection. This is a great theme!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing roads from your part of the world. :)

What interesting and very different roads! I love dirt roads - they say that you are going somewhere different, out of the ordinary way.
ReplyDeleteThe man in the last photo makes me nervous, standing out in traffic like that. I hope drivers in Manila are more careful than many we see in the US.
I love to travel down dirt roads. It makes me feel like I'm on an adventure, not sure of what might be just ahead for me and my camera. :)
ReplyDeletehow can i forget the road to kapurpurawan?!! nice nice.
ReplyDeleteone of the most memorable tricycle ride in my life. hit my head on the side of the tricycle more than 5times.
I love that first shot, but personally i want the greens complete on top! I think i've seen that 2nd photo somewhere in your past, haha! I thought i already have memory gaps!
