Weekend Snapshot: on Sale!

Shoppers seem to have exhausted their enthusiasm for anything not on deep discount, and even major after-Christmas sales were not compelling enough to lift faltering sales. Almost all stores in Bonifacio High Street were on sale last weekend. Non-essentials like these expensive rubber slippers, lingerie, cosmetics, sports apparel are probably the last priority in people's shopping budget nowadays. But if you have disposable (the correct term is "discretionary") income, now is the best time to shop!

    these sales are so tempting!! i've given in several times but i vow to stay away in the meantime. don't know how long that is, though. arggghhh!!

    I hear you! All that crazy overpriced stuff will get its comeuppance! The essentials...we have. Food. Clothes. Family. We're good!

    I avoid sales because of the crows! can't stand that...
    Plus, I would have to make room in my closet, which seems like a difficult task, lol.

    It is indeed a great time to buy. In the US, what's holding people back is the fear that they might lose their jobs soon. Thus, in spite of all the SALE signs, a lot of people are still holding on to their money and wallets.

    I have learned my lesson not to grab what's on sale simply because it's on sale. Most of the time what we get are nonessentials. Now it's only what is needed that I shop for.

    It's always nice to look though. It's even free!

    That's a great idea to make a sale even after Christ,mas to make people keep on coming!
