Sky Watch Friday: before the storm

This photo was taken in Baguio City on Monday, the day before tropical storm "Igme" (international codename: Fung Wong) hit the city. "Igme" was the 7th typhoon to hit the Philippines this year. Before leaving the country on Wednesday, "Igme" left 1.9 million pesos in agricultural damages in Cordillera, where Baguio City is located, and Ilocos regions.

This gorgeous sky was captured by Amor, my friend Eddie's 9-year old daughter, from their home in Baguio.

  2. wow! taken by a nine year old girl! very beautiful! this is amazing.

reading from lawstude's comment: yes mahiyain talaga ako. hehehe... nasa capones kami ng time na yan at naabutan kami ng malalaking alon.

kaya naging extreme challenge yung pagpunta namin doon.

  3. amazing, indeed. the dad is a shutterbug but it looks like the daughter has a better eye.:D

a friend who had been to capones island told me that the waters around the island are known to be really rough, even without typhoon. it's now on the top 5 of my "next destination" list.:D i hope i'd find some friends who are adventurous enough to rough it up since the island is uninhabited pala. thanks for sharing those beautiful photos, dong.

  8. gasp!!! ang ganda!!!
Travelling to enigmatic places were also in my past passions. I usually ask myself when in the middle of rocky seas or craggy rocks "what have i put myself into???" but then I have some fascinating stories to tell afterwards ;-)
