Photo Hunt/Zap and Advertising


Cine Corregidor in Corregidor Island zapped by Japanese bombardments during World War II.   Corregidor is one of the most important historic and tourist sites in the Philippines.

 An inflated advertising balloon at an event in the Mall of Asia.  Too much of this liquor can zap the brain cells and one's common sense.

    Bombardments should stay that way to remind the horror of war to the new generations.

    Impressive photos -- both! Re Cine Corregidor: that's the ruins of a cinema, right? In any case, interesting that the ruins have been left as is over the years!

    It's sad that war has a way of destroying important pieces of history. I can see why this would be a popular tourist spot. It looks beautiful, even in ruins.

    Hi Miranda, I agree with Mar, some things should be preserved as a way to remember what happened (good and bad).

    I like the big balloon. I'm sure people sampled this product after seeing it.

    Thanks for stop earlier for some coffee...Never heard of Corregidor Island but I learn so much from other people blogs.
    Most of the time the inflated balloons are use to advertise car lots around here.

    Those ruins should be preserved so people will never forget and new generations learn not to do the same. Great shot.

    One of these days I will visit Corregidor. Carlos used to run overnight tours there. First time I went to visit that island was when in high school decades ago.
