Caged animals [Photo Hunt]

@ mirandablue
This caged tiger looks sad, perhaps slowly going insane in this small confined space. A white tiger constantly paced in his cage---everywhere it turned, there is a tourist... curious, taunting eyes all around.

I didn't  hear this cougar make a sound, it just stared sleepily at his cage.  Probably sick and tired of hoping to be free again.

  1. It's no fun being caged up. I was 'caged' for 6 months when I had an ankle surgery some time back. :(

  5. Putting large animals in small cages is cruel! Your lovely photos seem to show this!

  6. A visit to a BIG zoo would be such fun on a weekend. When looking at the big cats in their cages pacing back and forth, I wonder what they are feeling and what is going on in their heads. They must not like it. These guys are so big, but you captured them beautifully.

  7. It is always sad to see large animals caged. They are not meant to be confined. At least with smaller animals, if they have larger cages they have some freedom but these large ones need a lot of space. Great take on the theme.

  9. I'd rather have a cage between me and any of them, no matter how beautiful.

  11. Yikes, it doesn't sound like the zoo where those animals are caged is doing a good job at all! Those poor animals... :(

  14. Caged Animals can't be happy. Then again if that's all they've ever known... thanks for coming by to see my caged possums.

  17. Nice pics - sad when they are confined to small spaces. I like the "zoos" where they are able to roam a bit freer/
