Lotus pond [Watery & Outdoor Wednesday]

From ancient times, the lotus has been a divine symbol in Asian traditions representing purity and beauty. The lotus flower grows in muddy water and rises above the surface to bloom with remarkable beauty. At night the flower closes and sinks underwater, at dawn it rises and opens again.

"I love the lotus because while growing from mud, it is unstained."
