I have crossed a thousand bridges
In my search for something real
There were great suspension bridges
Made like spider webs of steel
There were tiny wooden trestles
And there were bridges made of stone
I have always been a stranger
And I've always been alone...
In my search for something real
There were great suspension bridges
Made like spider webs of steel
There were tiny wooden trestles
And there were bridges made of stone
I have always been a stranger
And I've always been alone...
Crossing Mactan Channel through the old Mactan-Mandaue bridge a few weeks ago when I snapped this photo of the Marcelo Fernan Bridge. This cable-stayed bridge connects the islands of Cebu and Mactan.
Posted for Watery Wednesday
when it was still new, i had the chance to cross it by walking from end to end. so cool! great view from there.

Wow! The bridge is so expansive! I've never seen such a beauty like this! Naku, matagal na akong di nakapunta sa Cebu, the last was in 2005! Oh, progress, and thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteFantastic bridge! I hope we can go to Cebu soon — only been there once and it was for a conference.
ReplyDeleteHappy Watery Wednesday!
nadaan na rin ako jan lol. which of the two bridge do u prefer?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot!
ReplyDeletehi, Ebie! the bridge was opened in 1999...baka nadaaanan mo na, di mo lang napansin.:P
ReplyDeletehi, Lawstude! i prefer this bridge over the old bridge which is always congested. the hotel i usually stayed in Mactan is beside this bridge but i think the old bridge is much nearer to the malls like SM and Ayala.:P
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Is this in Philippines?
ReplyDeletethats an interesting bridge!
ReplyDeleteThis bridge looks like it spans a large area. The view is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI like the bridge - it looks less melancholy to me than the poem sounds :)
