Dark clouds over Mauban as our outrigger boat left the pier. Scud clouds loomed across the horizon as we approached Cagbalete Island. There was no storm forecast but as unpredictable as our weather has become, I was not surprised to see thunderstorms in the middle of summer.

The lighting is dramatic and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh my, what is that little boat out there? Looks crowdy. Love the colours!
ReplyDeleteYou live on a very beautiful island or at least you visited a real gem of an island. That´s the way I see it, no matter what the weather was.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos for sky watch friday, thanks for sharing these lovely views with us and thanks for your kind comments on my post earlier.
ReplyDeleteYour blog banner is stunning.
Nothing scarier than a thunderstorm when you're out in the water! I LOVE the boat silhouette. It makes the water seem vast, the boat very small in comparison.
ReplyDeletePeering through those ominous clouds is hope trying to shine through it seems.
ReplyDeleteBoth beautiful shots. I love the green water in the first one.
ReplyDeleteI love both photos - very moody. The one with the boat full of people is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want to be in that small outrigger during a storm. You are a brave girl! Love the shots. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCaprice
Very nice! In the top one the gloomy skies really makes the green stand out and look extremely bright.
ReplyDeleteAwesome photos for SWF. Ocean pictures are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteOh what beautiful tandem of shots you shared with us today. Plus I am loving your header image too.
ReplyDeleteLove your top photo in particular - especially the light green at the top of the hill.
ReplyDeleteOh and Fritz is so cute!!
It is beautiful and so atmospheric. Absolutely love your blog header image.
ReplyDeleteWow...the colors of the first shot are amazing. Great lighting at that moment. What a magical place with gorgeous skies. Thanks for stopping by my SWF post...
ReplyDeletei love the header luna. it seems that we were once sharing a same spot in front of that lovely beach. glad you enjoyed mauban/cabalete as much as i do.
ReplyDeleteGanda ng photos! I would really love to Cagbalete someday! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteganun na ganun din nung nandun kami. kaya siguro hindi ganun ka dami ang pumupunta sa cagbalete dahil sa unpredictable weather doon.
ReplyDeletehi, dong! medyo weird talaga ang weather ngayon, di lang sa cagbalete, i'm sure. i talked to some guests of the resort who were there a few times, they're friends of the owner. ayos naman daw ang weather dati, although there was a time when the waves surged past the leafless tree.
