Lasang Pinoy: bread-y or not

Bread-y or not, I am more on the not these days. The only bready photo I took lately is this high-calorie waffle my cousin had at Starbucks a couple of nights ago (she needs the calories, I don't!). I'm trying to stay away from white bread which means depriving myself of hot pandesal that I absolutely love with my morning coffee! I lived on white bread until a few years ago when I read and experienced the hazards of a low fiber diet. I confess, I was a bread monster since childhood, my grandfather used to say that all the rice crisis in the world wouldn't affect me as long as there's bread. Now, how about some camote bread for merienda? :P

  4. hi Luna! I am also a bread eater! Love the pugon-baked pan de sal!!!I also prefer mashed potatoes, baked potatoes etc than rice. Michael loves rice kaya tuwing nasa kainan/party kami ay confused ang mga hosts namin kasi I always opt for the European staple. Yet, it really is all because of my low tolerance for the starch of rice!

  5. I'm a bready these days but just plain bread and butter (or peanut butter). I'd take it w/ coffee anytime, Starbucks or not. :)
