A bone-weary tom cat lounges on a stack of plastic chairs having a cat nap. From the scars on his face, it looks like Tommy the cat has been in a cat-fight, or just living a hard life. I imagine he's sick of the street-life, hungry days and lonely nights, and would like to retire in a warm, cozy home.
Fritz was excited to see Tommy and wanted to play (wags his tail) but the tom cat was not in the mood for anything. He stares condescending at Fritz, shifts his scrawny body and contemplates his next move.
Apparently, Tommy the cat has nowhere to go so he settled comfortably on his plastic throne. Fritz, the pushover, waits it out hoping Tommy the cat would come down and play.
I'll play with Fritz!!!
ReplyDeleteit's a good thing Fritz is well-behaved! :)
ReplyDeletehappy WW
What cute pictures, and story :)
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Poor tomcat. Looks like he has had a hard life.
ReplyDeleteFritz is a sweetie
ReplyDeleteI wish I could adopt every stray out there
Fritz needs a companion. :)
ReplyDeleteThe tomcat looks harassed and bruised, and Fritz appears to be patient. Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteI want to hug that cat.
ReplyDeleteSweet !
ReplyDeleteDid they become friends?
for a street cat, he looks as big as fritz! Yep, fritz is a well-mannered doggie!
ReplyDeleteWe had two pets nuon sina Bijou at Cuzco---they're dog (Bijou) and cat(Cuzco) they grew up together have the same colorations (black and white) and Cuzco sleeps atop of Bijou everytime. The story went towards poignancy but this is not about that part. It's just that, yes dogs can play with cats.
hi, sidney! this cat once kicked Fritz at the face but my doggie still wags his tail everytime he sees the tom cat. let's just say, they're not the best of friends but now the cat relaxes even when fritz is around.:D
ReplyDeletei have a friend with dogs & cats at home and they all play and eat together. i'm trying to adopt this stray cat, bernadette, but he's very anti-social! my landlord and i attempted to apply antiseptic on his wounds but he scratched the old guy and ran. minsan hinihimas-himas ng landlord ko sa ulo, nagseselos naman si fritz! :D
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm so late dropping by. Looks like they have become friends? Or maybe just a truce. :)
ReplyDeleteMine's a late entry too but very cute shots! Did you decide to keep the cat? I hope you did so that Fritz will now have a buddy. :)
ReplyDeletei'm in the process of making this cat feel at home, Panaderos. i leave food for him twice a day. stray cats, like street children, are difficult to domesticate, they don't trust humans easily. the least we can do is feed and treat them well when they stray outside our doors.
ReplyDeletehappy valentine's day to you!:D
