i recall my childhood days of riding in the train going to my ma's hometown, Naga City, and hearing "kape,kape, kape" quite fast during the early-early morning. The kape vendors had steaming coffees in nescafe jars for weary travellers to drink...ngayon, I go to starbucks when in Manila ;-)
i remember nora aunor's life story, bernadette---she used to sell coffee & water at a train station in bicol, right? there are still coffee vendors in bus stations in the provinces, also in provincial ports. kaya nga sabi ko sa 'yo, let's have that coffee when you're in manila. there's a starbucks about 2 blocks from my apartment, there's also one in the ground floor of my office building. may native coffee nman ako sa bahay. i prefer Bo's Coffee though.:D
