Bantayan Island, Cebu
"When I look into the blue sky, it seems so deep, so peaceful, so full of a mysterious tenderness that I could lie for centuries, and wait for the dawning of the face of God out of the awful loving-kindness." ~ George MacDonald

ReplyDeleteOhhh wow! Ang ganda naman. Didn't know cebu would be this beautiful!
ReplyDeletei really fell in love with this island. when am i going there again? soon. soon.
ReplyDeletewe have a neighbor who regularly goes to bantayan island. never heard of it before he would tell us that is off to go there! No wonder...!
ReplyDeleteThese foreigners know our country even better than us! And one thing more, he helps a family there with the education of one of their children as well as provides them with a "decent" house---with kuryente and water! He was just impressed with their blind daughter who can sing better daw than Celine Dion!
hello, bernadette! a few years ago, my friends in cebu invited me to join them to visit bantayan. i returned to bantayan 3 times since. it's one big party there during the holy week, the bands playing by the beach, a fiesta with lechon parade!:D
ReplyDeletepinoys are changing a little bit. we travel around the philippines na (thanks to the promos from the airlines!:D), and we have now a sense of how beautiful our country is. and with that appreciation, siguro naman, we'd work together to preserve what we have.
your neighbor has a big heart. bless him! pinoys indeed are talented...if only, we all have the means to develop all the talents. thanks for sharing.:)
the charm of bantayan is addicting, dong. i'm not surprised you want to visit again.:D
ReplyDeletecebu has beautiful beaches, and you can find your own piece of paradise in the islands near cebu. there's bantayan, malapascua, camotes, siquijor, apo island, and sumilon. i hope you get to visit one of these islands, steven and aisha.:)
ReplyDeletethanks for visiting.

ReplyDeleteYou know, I've noticed that too in a number of the blogs I've visited. Unlike in my day (aray!), I do notice a significant surge in domestic tourism and this would not have been possible without promos from the airlines that made those trips a lot more affordable. I wish those promos were available back in the day. (Aray na naman!!) :D
OK I want to go there.... NOW! Beautiful pic!
ReplyDeletePanaderos, it was also 'my day'! Haha In my 20's, I could only afford to travel by bus, non-aircon pa!:D Now, with the piso fares and other promos [from airlines and shipping lines], domestic travel become affordable to those with a bit of extra cash.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.:)
Thank you, Tonjia. Bantayan is waiting for you.:D
ReplyDeleteYes, Lisa. A perfect place, indeed. Thanks for visiting.
ReplyDeleteHi there ... great and excellent beach. I want to be there! Sigh ...
