We'll always have Paris...

Bogart’s unforgettable line from the movie, Casablanca, reminds me of the euphoric time of my life…my first trip to Paris two years ago. Though it was a business trip, I spent more time sight-seeing than actually working. Paris is an overwhelming city to visit for the first time. There’s so much to see and experience.

Gzel posted a photo of the Eiffel Tower in her site Mirage as Usual, and I envy her clear shot. My photo of the famous Paris landmark was taken around 1 am while I was lying on the park that hot September night, drinking red wine from a plastic cup. I regret that I was an indifferent ‘photographer’ then. I feasted my eyes on the beauty of people and places I visited then took photos as an afterthought. Moments cannot be recaptured, I realize that now. At least, the great moments I have in Paris are framed in mind.

  1. Wow! This is not 'pangit,' for it is a midnight shot (without flash?) The angle is awesome too! I read you were lying down the park, that's cool, I never get to do that because of the rain!

So true, one's memories of Paris cannot be forgotten (even the fact that they do not have elevators in the train stations lol.) Seriously, I understood why people go ga-ga over Paris when I saw it with my own eyes. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I was lying down the park because my feet were killing me…spent the whole day walking. But yes, it was an unforgettable trip---the Paris experience was really something, kahit medyo masusungit ang mga French!:D

    Thanks for visiting, Gzel.

  5. i'm sure you'd have your chance to visit Paris someday soon, pusa. aside from the arc de triomphe in paris, there's the arch of peace in milan and the marble arch in london. mukhang mahilig sa arches ang mga europeans.:)

    thanks!

  6. Thank you, Gzel. I can be in the Louvre for a week and would still be amazed. My Mona Lisa shot was not very good...it was crowded with tourists and I didn't get a better angle.:D
