jammin' with the band
Chico's, Davao City
Thinking the bar was full of strangers, I shamelessly sang with the band. Grateful there was no violent reaction from the audience---perhaps, they were all too drunk to protest or I was too wasted to remember (hehehe)!

Very nice feature of Samal Island! My wife and I live in Davao City, and we own property right next to the Moncadista "White House" where you shot photos. It's really a lovely place!

Lovely photos. When were you in Davao City? I am scheduled to have a short vacation there next month, and if you recommend spending a few days in Samal Island (to which I've never been), then I'd certainly obey.

I am confident that the private beach is as exquisite as you make it look!

Hello, Bob. Wow, you're lucky to own a property in Samal. Yes, it's a lovely place. I'd like to go back there some day. Thanks for visiting!

If one lives in the crowded City, he/ she might think: does this place exist in reality? Wonderful photos Luna...I likt the shots with the coconut trees! This place looks so tranquil.

..and you sing pala ha!

I hate crowded beaches like Boracay in the summer where you could barely have a quiet space for yourself. Places like Samal and Talicud Island are the best to spend a truly relaxing vacation---away from the crowd, commercialism, and you can have the space that you crave.

Malakas lang loob ko humawak ng mic! :D

Hello, Migs. I was in Davao during the 5-day blackout caused by Melenio. I recommend you visit Samal Island. Dayang beach is located in another island called Talicud Island. You can hire a boat in Samal to take you to Talicud. If you're not budget conscious, stay in Pearl Farm. Paradise Island is not cheap but it's less expensive than Pearl Farm.

Beach hopping?
Lucky you !

Oh, I did look up Pearl Farm. As soon as I saw the rates in their official website, I knew I - well, I had to work harder. Haha!

Thank you so much for the tip. I'll be there for five days this month and a couple of weeks in March. Of course I won't leave without stepping foot on Samal!

Cheers!

We have 7,000 plus islands to visit, Sidney. I've visited a few so far...

I always travel on a budget, Migs, so there's no way I could afford to stay in Pearl Farm! :D

Enjoy your Davao experience!
