Alive [Photo Hunt]

@ mirandablue
Leathery polypore mushrooms I found on a dead log.  It's interesting that these mushrooms are alive and thriving on this lifeless piece of wood.  I read that mushrooms have the ability to produce compounds to prevent disease (like decay) to its host. In a way, these mushrooms keep this log "alive" so they can also live.

Near the entrance of a cave I visited last summer, this plant grows in a crack between rocks and lives on little sunlight and moisture.  Amazing how life can flourish even in an inhospitable environment. Like us, it adapts to stay alive.

Our photos may be different but seems to me that we're alike in marveling at how wonderful nature can be - and how its presence in our environment makes us help appreciate our (as well as their) being alive. :)

This is a good idea for 'alive'. Nature is amazing. I'm always marvelling at how plants can flourish just about anywhere!

This is an interesting relationship between the mushrooms and the dead tree! I have been seeing a lot of these growth the past week because of the rains.

Yes.. my mom talks to her plants. Minsan nga, nawi wirduhan ako dun. Pero mukhang epektib naman ang chika niya with the flowers coz they're all blooming with flowers.. =)

Oh! Mushrooms! Dito rin sa amin, there are lots of them. You could usually find them on some dead tree.. Ibang klase rin ano.. =)

Dumaan, nagbasa at nagkomento. Gandang araw!
